Adoption Is An Option was founded by someone who knows adoption personally—a child adopted in 1955 who wanted to give back and make a difference. From the very beginning, our mission has been simple: to learn, tell, and share the truth about adoption. We believe adoption is not giving up. It’s giving a future. It’s a courageous act of love that deserves to be visible, viable, and valued in our culture.

What We Do

Every day, women face the uncertainty of unplanned pregnancy. Too often, they hear only two narratives—parenting or abortion—without clear, compassionate information about adoption. We exist to change that.

Adoption Is An Option equips those closest to women in crisis—those who need to know—with the tools and resources to present adoption clearly and without pressure. Through storytelling, education, and advocacy, we make sure adoption is seen as a supported path, not a stigmatized afterthought.

Why It Matters

Adoption is misunderstood. Stigma, fear of judgment, and lack of information hold back women who might otherwise choose this path. At the same time, thousands of families are ready and waiting to adopt, and birth mothers deserve dignity, respect, and support before, during, and after placement. We believe in rewriting this story—together.

What We See

We are building a movement where adoption is seen not as an act of loss, but as an act of love, where women in crisis feel surrounded by care. Where faith communities, medical providers, agencies, and centers work together to ensure every woman knows she truly has options. Adoption is a decision rooted in courage, and a gift that brings new life to families and futures.
